SPRING:
Pruning (this includes trees up to 20’ tall)
-All trees, shrubs, ground covers, and bulbs
shall be hand pruned to remove dead wood and/or
winter damage.
-Clear all drives and walks to achieve optimum
efficiency and safety for foot and wheeled
vehicle traffic.
-Any limbs and branches touching or brushing
buildings or other structures shall be pruned as
needed.
Weeding/Weed Control
-All shrubs, ground cover, and perennial beds
along with mulched lawn trees shall be hand
weeded and spot sprayed with weed killer.
Mulching
-All shrub beds, perennial beds and previously
mulched lawn trees shall be re-mulched with
shredded hardwood mulch during the spring
maintenance visit.
Edging
-All shrub, perennial, ground cover beds, and
mulched lawn trees shall be edged one time
during the spring maintenance visit.
Fertilizing
-All shrubs, trees, and groundcovers shall be
broadcast fertilized with a well balanced slow
release plant food one time during the spring.
Pre-Emergence
-A pre-emergent herbicide will be applied to all
beds by the end of April to prevent weed/seed
germination as needed. A fall pre-emergent
herbicide will be applied in November or
December as needed.
Spring Leaf Removal
-Leaf removal of all lawn and bed areas only if
fallen leaves were previously removed from such
areas during the previous year. Note: If leaves
have not been removed form the previous year
there may be an additional charge.
SUMMER:

shall be sheared or hand pruned as needed. Note:
All shearing will be completed twice during the
months of May through September.
Weeding/Weed Control
-All shrubs, ground cover, and perennial beds
along with mulched lawn trees shall be hand
weeded and spot sprayed with weed killer.
-The Outdoor Advantage will spot spray
undesirable growth in cracks, joints, and edges
one time per month during our normal monthly
visit.
FALL:

-All shrubs, trees, and groundcovers shall be
broadcast fertilized with a well balanced slow
release plant food.
Pest and Disease Control
-If any pests or disease are noticed at time of
routine maintenance visit on any one plant
material or tree up to twenty feet, The Outdoor
Advantage will treat one time.
-If additional pests or treatments are needed or
if a major pest/disease problem is evident,
there will be an additional charge for
treatments.
Leaf Removal
-Leaves shall be removed from all areas stated
on the contract.
Winter Pruning
-Pruning of deciduous trees and perennial
cutback.
SERVICES:
Lawn Cutting (approximately 27 visits
with 7 edgings)
-Cut all lawn areas approximately 27 times per
growing season and includes 7 edgings per
growing season.
-Clear all walkways of debris
Fertilization
-Apply fertilizer following the Scotts annual
five step program.

*Snow Removal
-All sidewalks will be cleared of snow/ice in
the event we receive 3” or more.
-Salt will be applied in all areas described in
the contract.
